The Pioneer LaserActive was released in 1993 as an expensive and impressive cosnole/entertainment center that could play games, laser discs, CDs and karaoke discs. Its PAC modules allowed it to do even more; the Sega PAC let it run Sega CD and Genesis games, whereas the Karaoke PAC to function as a pro level karaoke machine. You can find more about it here, here and here.
Interestingly, you can bid on this Pioneer LaserActive auction on eBay and own one of these early '90s entertainment behemoths. The console comes with both the Sega and Karaoke PACs, a six-button controller and selection of Genesis and Sega CD games. Seller ships only within the US.
