Auctions like this give the exact measure of the term "Retro Treasures"... if I had more room I'd give it a try, but unfortunately I gave up on big boxes due to their extreme size... still, almost every single game here deserves to be played!
ReplyDeleteThe sad truth is that I too am absolutely out of space myself. Still, an absolutely amazing collection.
DeleteLots of classics in there - some of which I've played but most of which I haven't. Man it would take a long time just to install all those games how much time would it take to actually play them? Talk about game queue overload. I see the bid is over $400 with the reserve still not met. Wonder what the reserve is.
ReplyDeleteHehe indeed. Overloading game ques seems to be our specialty :)
DeleteOh and I'm pretty sure a sensible reserve would be over $600.
Cheers my friend!
Nice find, Gnome. Lots of classics there, especially the King's Quest series, Warcraft II and Tie Fighter. Not sure about Donald Duck's Playground, though that's obviosuly by the far the most exciting sounding game in there. ;D
ReplyDeleteWouldn't touch Days of Thunder if you paid me though. Bad film. Very bad game.
Hey Bob and thanks! Yeah, pretty great collection despite a few turkeys. Never touches Days of Thunder myself ;)
DeleteWow ended up at over $1,400. I've got a good chunk of these already, but cheers to whoever got a rather nice collection (and books, too!)
ReplyDeleteCheers indeed!
