Super Turrican (SNES)

Though I adored Turrican on the Amiga and quite loved it on the Commodore 64, I never actually played Super Turrican on the SNES. Rumour has it that the 16-bit Nintendo console managed to pull it off brilliantly, and that the game remains a great run-and-gun platformer you could actually own via this Super Turrican (SNES) eBay auction.

It's US/NTSC version you'll be bidding on, and it comes complete in its box. Everything seems to be in great condition and the seller ships only within the EU.

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars (PC)

The original Broken Sword remains a stunning, engrossing, smart, and incredibly enjoyable game to this very day, and, despite that goat puzzle, I would consider as one of the best point-and-click adventures ever made. You, on the other hand, should consider bidding on this Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars eBay auction for a finely preserved, complete, boxed copy of Revolution's masterpiece. It even comes with the Savage Warriors book by Steve Jackson.

Looking for a chance to grab Sega's  fine and final console? Have been waiting for all those years to hook up a 128-bit gaming machine to your TV? Well, this Sega Dreamcast eBay auction is for you then. The Dreamcast on offer is in apparently very good condition, comes with its box, two controllers, 2 VMUs, and 13 games.

Wonderland by magnetic Scrolls (Atari ST)

Even though it was mainly created to show off the innovative, object-oriented Magnetic Windows interactive fiction interface, Wonderland is also a wonderfully designed, stunningly illustrated, incredibly polished, and very well written text adventure; a game I consider to be one of the finest moments of Magnetic Scrolls. Also, a game the Digital Antiquarian recently, lovingly and very thoroughly covered here.

Oh, and here's a fine Wonderland (Atari ST) eBay auction. The game comes complete in its original box with its hefty manual, four 3.5" disks, map, poster, quick reference guide, and Atari ST specific instructions leaflet.

Sega Master System Mark II

I do have a soft spot for the Sega Master System, and I still have one always within arm's reach. Sega's humble 8-bit console, you see, besides being the only console that managed to survive among Europe's home computer driven gaming market of the 1980s, had many excellent games released for it, allowed for some impressive for the era graphics, and was modestly priced.

Happily, the machine remains modestly priced to this very day, and you can grab one via this Sega Master System eBay auction. It is the more compact mk. 2 version of the console you'll be bidding on, and it comes with its cables, two controllers, and two boxed games (Donald Duck: The Lucky Dimed Caper, Casino Games). The built-in game is Alex Kidd In Miracle World.

Hero Quest: The Boardgame

Haven't posted any classic boardgames or RPGs for quite some time, but now I can finally point you to this particularly lovely Hero Quest eBay auction. The boxed game on offer comes complete with all of the game's amazing components. As you should know, Hero Quest is an old but absolutely amazing dungeon hacking board game with RPG-lite elements. Also, it is very good. How good? This good.

Apple HyperCard (Macintosh)

From impressive additions to the Mac demoscene, and classic games, to personal applications, public presentations, and simple databases for small businesses -- all in glorious and crisp black & white -- Apple's HyperCard for the Macintosh was a legendary piece of software. A "Personal Toolkit for Information" that defined the platform, and truly opened up software creation to the non-specialist. And here's an Ars Technica article all about it.

Here, on the other hand, is an Apple Hypercard (Mac) eBay auction for a boxed copy of the application. Inside the elegant and finely preserved box you will find the four 3.5" disks, the user's guide, a license agreement (apparently Apple always loved those), and the Packing List leaflet just to make sure you know what you've got.

Asterix and the Secret Mission (Game Gear)

Sold in the wonderful place that is Parc Astérix back in 1994, this limited boxed version of Asterix and the Secret Mission for the Sega Game Gear currently up for grabs on eBay looks absolutely wonderful, and apparently comes complete with a nice collectible t-shirt. The box is sealed, obviously rare, and the auction will be over in 13 hours (at the time of writing), so better hurry.

Boxed Sega Nomad

Coming straight from Sega's weird (and not particularly successful) era, the Sega Nomad or Sega Genesis Nomad is a handheld version of the classic 16-bit Genesis console with a lovely little colour LCD screen and not as lovely battery life. Handily, it plays the exact same cartridges the home console uses, and is thus rather bulky. Oh, and it's quite rare too, especially when coming in its original box as is the case with this Sega Nomad eBay auction.

The console on offer comes in its box with manual, PSU, and everything pictures above, has been tested, and is in apparently fine condition.

Realms of the Haunting - Limited Edition (PC)

Realms of the Haunting, despite being a rather over-ambitious attempt at a horror game and failing to become the success it deserved to be, remains a unique, innovative, atmospheric, and actually very good horror game for the PC. A game that has aged remarkably well, and one you can bid on via this Realms of the Haunting (PC) eBay auction. It's the complete, boxed, limited edition version of the game that's on offer here, and comes complete with all four 4 CDs, the jewel case, the manual, and the games catalog.

Atari Stacy 2

I do wish the Atari ST laptops were even better and even more successful machines than they actually were, but I also have to admit this Atari Stacy2 currently been auctioned over at eBay is, indeed, a thing of beauty. The computer on offer comes with an impressive 4MB of RAM, a 40MB hard drive, a crisp black & white LCD monitor, built-in trackball, and a 3.5" disk drive. It seems to be in a great working condition too, and comes complete with the original PSU.

Todd's Adventures in Slimeworld (Lynx)

One of the best metroidvania games ever created, and a definitive Atari Lynx offering, Todd's Adventures in Slimeworld is just excellent. It's huge, expertly design, beautiful, engrossing, and obviously innovative, and you can grab your very own copy via this Todd's Adventures in Slimeworld (Atari Lynx) eBay auction. The game comes complete in its sealed box.
