Dungeon Master & Chaos Strikes Back

Dungeon Master, arguably the most important 16-bit CRPG, was originally an Atari ST exclusive and thus something ST gamers had always been immensely proud of. And fairly so, for Dungeon Master remains a great and gracefully aged game, that even managed to get itself a pretty decent yes slightly derivative expansion; yes, that would indeed be Chaos Strikes Back. Monkey Island (Sega CD)

The Secret of Monkey Island, the ground-breaking first entry to the Monkey Island series and an excellent adventure, did get a pretty great Sega CD port that you can handily grab via this Monkey Island (Sega CD) auction. Seller ships only within the US.

Tamiya's Unknown N64 Prototype

To be perfectly honest, if the seller of the incredibly obscure prototype cartridge you see above didn't sport a 100% positive feedback score (by more than 1000 people), I wouldn't consider posting about it. It is after all an auction for the prototype cartridge of Tamiya Racing 64; a game nobody seems to have heard of and thus an incredibly rare prototype of an unreleased Nintendo 64 game. Seller ships worldwide and this is bound to be expensive.

Apparently and according to the seller the game was developed by Intermetrics, a company supposedly close to Looking Glass Studios, whereas it does seem to sport quite a few similarities with Mini Racers. Hope the buyer gets to further investigate things...

Boxed Bundle of Atari ST Games

Following the announcement of my precious Bundle in a Box, I couldn't help but link to this boxed bundle of Atari ST games. It's a lovely selection of games for Atari's 16-bit wonder and includes such gems as Sensible Soccer, Xenon, The Bard's Tale and even ST BASIC. Seller ships worldwide.

SierraVision Oil's Well (C64)

The original 1983 version of Oil's Well (released under Sierra's SierraVision label) remains a lovely, oil-drilling, critter murdering, arcade game that should probably make us all feel bad about ourselves, but is too enjoyable to put down. Though the 1990 PC version of Oil's Well remains my favourite, this practically new, boxed, Commodore 64 cartridge version of Oil's Well is far more collectible. Grab both them 48k &128k Spectrums

Both a boxed ZX Spectrum 48 and a boxed ZX Spectrum 128 can be grabbed via this pretty huge Sinclair Spectrum auction; provided you are in UK that is. What's more, you'll also be getting an Interface 2, three books, all the required bits to get things running, the manuals and an impressive collection of 100 games. Uhm, not much to add there really. 

Wing Commander (SNES)

Seeing the original Wing Commander released on anything less than a ninja-PC was quite a shock back then, but I've now learned to quietly accept these things. Anyway, Wing Commander on the Nintendo SNES was a pretty impressive port of this truly classic space fighting sim and you should probably give this Wing Commander (SNES) auction the attention it deserves. It's the complete boxed version of the game and is in mint condition. Seller ships only within the US.

Modded Tandy CoCo 3

The third iteration of the Tandy Color Computer, the aptly named CoCo 3, was the last and best in the line of CoCos. It was after all released in 1986, sported 128k of RAM that could be extended to half a mega, featured a new graphics chip, better sound and even came in a much slimmer and better looking case, all the while remaining largely compatible with the earlier CoCo micros. Apparently, it was internal politics that killed it off and not its quality...

Anyway, what I actually wanted to say is that you can easily grab an excellent Tandy Color Computer 3 over that the lovable magisterrex retro site. The computer seems to be in great condition and comes with two incredibly handy modifications: an on/off switch and a cooling fan. 

Sega CDX (CiB)

Europe got the Multi-Mega and the US got the Sega CDX and everything was nice and tidy with Sega's hybrid console. Sadly this boxed Sega CDX auction doesn't help mix things up with being only available to buyers within the US, but it's a pretty impressive offer nonetheless. The rare CDX comes complete in its box (with games, cardboard bits, manuals and everything) and seems to be in excellent condition. 

Oh, and you may need to be reminded that the CDX is the handy combination of a Sega Genesis and a Sega CD in one handy console. It's even compatible with the 32X. 

12 Sierra Games

Twelve classic Sierra adventures in their lush original packaging can happily be yours via this mouth-watering Sierra Game Lot eBay auction. Among them you'll find a sealed copy of Space Quest I, a rare silver box edition of King's Quest II, my beloved Space Quest IV, the excellent Quest for Glory II and the CD-ROM based King's Quest VII. Everything seems to be in excellent condition and the seller ships worldwide.

Texas Instruments TI-99/4A NIB

I wont once again mention the fact that the TI-99/4A was my very first computer or that it remains a lovely thing to own. I will instead focus on admiring this pretty amazing Texas Instruments TI-99/4A that has been discovered by the dear Retro Treasures friend MadPlanet. It seems like a perfectly preserved specimen of one of the earliest 16-bit micros ever, that comes complete in its box containing everything the computer shipped with originally. The TI-99/4A has apparently never been removed from the box and is thus a de facto rarity. Seller ships only within the US.

Complete Cocktail Maker (Acorn Electron)

Don't you love those obscure yet incredibly cheap retro offerings even time itself seems to have forgotten? Of course you do dear, of course you, and so do I. That's why I simply had to point you to this Complete Cocktail Maker auction. It's the boxed Acorn Electron version of something had never before seen and the seller ships only within the UK.

The game was released back in 1985 and was an educational/novelty thingy that sported 300 cocktail recipes. You can find out more about it right here.
