Sega 3-D Glasses (Master System)

The Sega Master System may have not been able to take on the NES in Japan and the US, but it was a powerful and innovative console that did great in both Europe and Brasil. What's more, it was the first popular console to bring decent stereoscopic 3D gaming home with its impressive Sega 3-D Glasses. Oh, and you could actually experience them by bidding on this Sega 3-D Glasses (boxed) auction. Seller ships worldwide.

  1. Seller forgot to mention that the device cannot actually be worn unless your head has the circumference of an orange or that the rapid flickering will probably send you into a seizure.

So many fond, painful memories of the Master System.

  2. ^LOL! I've been looking for a cheap pair for awhile now, and I hadn't even thought about the size thing. The last time I had these on my face I was 7.

  3. I've got two pairs of these, one with a missing arm. Cool old tech, but now a bit like the old Intellivoice was for the Intellivision system, as they only work with specific games.

  4. I was actually going to make a comment about the size/fit of the glasses as well - lol. I received these not long after they game out in the U.S. along with Zaxxon 3-D. They worked great but they also squeezed my 12 year old melon pretty tightly. I still have them packed up in the original box.

Honestly, I wanted the Sports Pad but my father talked me into getting the glasses instead. I bet I didn't use them more than 20-25 times.

I also think my father purchased them from Suncoast (a now nearly defunct media retailer in the U.S.). This was kind of odd because Suncoast only periodically carried video games - and often for niche systems. Anyway, sorry to ramble. Love the blog. ;)
