Silver Nintendo Game Boy Light

The Game Boy Light, though rare, is something definitely worth its asking price, as it's much more than a collectible console. It's the best Game Boy ever and a beautiful handheld with a stunning, back-lit and very crisp black-and-white screen. You can grab a fully working one via this Game Boy Light (silver) auction, complete with a copy of Tetris. Seller ships worldwide.

  1. Nice find. Relatively rare too, I believe, as it was only released in Japan and quickly replaced by the Game Boy Color. The GB Pocket and GB Light both have far better screen than the original Game Boy and only need half the batteries. I remember one of my Uni flatmates getting a GB Pocket and how we marvelled at how small it was in comparison to the original.

Two AA's should last you about 20 hours with the light off and about half that with it on continuously (In comparison, my PS Vita can only manage about 5 hours with all the wireless connections turned off), so it should last you through a weekend-long Zelda marathon.

    1. And let's not forget Tetris marathons. Or Metroid ones too. Actually, I have to decided to eventually grab one of those beauties...
