The Macintosh Portable was actually the very first portable computer by Apple and, possibly, the most impressive laptop of its era, what with its cutting-edge display, 16Mhz 16-bit processor, 40MB hard drive and price tag of $7300. Thankfully said pioneering laptop can be grabbed for much less via this Apple Macintosh 5120 Portable eBay auction.
This particular Mac comes with an extra megabyte of RAM, has had its logic board recapped and comes with a modem card, PSU and trackball. Though it does work and according to its seller/restorer has passed all tests, there are a few problems: the HDD cannot be accessed and sometimes floppy disks are not ejected. So, do have a careful read of the auction text before you bid please.
