Bomberman Wars (Saturn)

A little something for your Sega Saturn: Bomberman Wars (at Play Asia). It's an obscure little offering that was released in 1998. Play it and let us know how the thing works.

  1. Nice, never played this one.. I need to beef up my Saturn collection. Just came up on a great deal locally on craigslist though... Tis the season for Guardian Heros and Panzer Dragoon Saga!

  2. Tis a lovely season. Especially if you got Panzer Dragoon Sags for a decent price.

  3. It's supposedly a done deal, but I don't yet have it in my hands. Craigslist is crazy, it's like negotiating for the release of hostages every time I make a deal on there.

  4. This sounds interesting. Exciting too. Especially if the good guys win and get the game.

  5. It's been a roller coaster.. She had a bunch of common games listed at crazy prices, like tomb raider for $30. But she also had Panzer Saga and Guardian heros listed for the same. By the time she got my email, she had realized her terrible mistake, but I still negotiated a nice deal. It got messy once wiring money got involved. The money was picked up, but I received no responses to my multiple emails all day. I called the cell phone number that she gave me with her info, and she gave me a tracking number. It isn't showing up in the USPS system yet, but I'm hopeful. I wonder if Sega Saturn games are really effective bait for scammers to be using, but you never know. If she thinks I'm just gonna disappear, she's sadly mistaken.

Again, sorry for steering this horribly off topic.

  6. Far from off topic dear Myke, as -I for example- some have never used craiglist so far. The danger seems slightly worse than on eBay, but one has to take ones chances.

Anyway, hope things work out for the best. Oh, and don't let it go.

  7. It's worth the effort, I've found some amazing deals on there. Glad to report the good guy won this round!

  8. Hell, while we are on the topic, here's another craigslist find I stumbled across today. I talked dude down to $100, think I should go for it?

  9. Hooray and hoorah! I'd say it's a bit expensive for an Atari ST, though I'm not sure whether a timecode interface is worth much. If it's boxed and comes with good software I'd say grab it.

  10. Thanks, I'm kinda on the fence about it. I've seen just the computers themselves going for around $60-$80, sometimes untested, and this one also comes with the monochrome monitor. I don't think it's boxed, and not sure about software. What do you think would be a good price?

  11. The monochrome monitor isn't that common really and -as I've already said- I really don't know the value of that timecode thingy, so 100$ might be a good price, though I would say 10-20$ below that would be really good.

  12. And no shipping.. Hmm. Tempting. Thanks Gnome!

  13. Ahh, that's even better. 100$ should be more than fine then. Cheers!
