Playing Japanese Hu-Card PC Engine games on your US TurboGrafx-16 sounds pretty handy, doesn't it? Then again, you will be needing a pretty rare and rather expensive converter; just like the TurboGrafx-16/Turbo Duo Game Converter that recently appeared on eBay. The accessory comes boxed and is in great condition. Seller ships only within the US.

I had that exact same converter--purchased with my very first import game: Die Hard. Hey, I was, like, 12. Don't judge me!
ReplyDeleteCurrently it's going for $120 which is absurd. Regrettably I sold Die Hard a long time ago (along with most of my TG16 collection during a phase I like to call my what-the-hell-was-I-thinking phase) so I'm not sure if I still have the converter but if I do...
For the record, it's a handy little device. I never had a problem with it.
Curses! Those what-the-hell-was-I-thinking phases have to be fought and stopped! They've wrecked too many an honest collection.
DeleteOh, and thanks for the thumbs-up for the thingy too. Love your site :)
Oh man, I've had one of these for years and though absolutely nothing to it. I had no idea it was so collectable!
ReplyDeleteAnd that dear Adam is why one should always hold on to ones retro games and hardware...
