If you thought Spore was ambitious, wait till you try Will Wright's 1990 masterpiece SimEarth: The Living Planet. It's the ultimate and most scientifically accurate god game ever released, and I for one always considered it one of the most enjoyable interactive toys released. Oh, and you can grab a boxed copy of Sim Earth for the PC via eBay. Seller ships worldwide and everything (yes, the hefty manual too) seems to be in excellent condition.
