I'm pretty sure if my dad had gotten me a Game Boy like all the other kids instead of a Lynx, my life would be very different right now. I still keep one within arms reach for a quick game of Rygar now and then.
Similar story here I suppose, but I'm usually going for the Rampart cart.
Okay, fine, I actually have 4 of them. And they all work. Take that, Game Gear. I am partial to the model 1, with it's sturdy construction and ridiculously loud speaker. I have a decent stack of games, but no Rampart. I need to hunt that down.
Wow. Four working Lynx consoles is a rare feat. I've got three and the only one that properly works has a scratched screen. As for Rampart it's really brilliant.
Nice story eyeon, I had a Gameboy, dreamt the Game Gear (for Master System compatibilty) but for some reason totally ignored Lynx, despite the cool California Games commercial. Maybe if I had one my life would have been different too.
Then again you wouldn't have enjoyed much gaming on the go... The Lynx ate batteries like, well, that.
