Sega CDX (CiB)

Europe got the Multi-Mega and the US got the Sega CDX and everything was nice and tidy with Sega's hybrid console. Sadly this boxed Sega CDX auction doesn't help mix things up with being only available to buyers within the US, but it's a pretty impressive offer nonetheless. The rare CDX comes complete in its box (with games, cardboard bits, manuals and everything) and seems to be in excellent condition.

Oh, and you may need to be reminded that the CDX is the handy combination of a Sega Genesis and a Sega CD in one handy console. It's even compatible with the 32X

  1. Thanks for the post Gnome, this is my auction. I'm currently in an un-collecting phase.

I made it US only just to keep it simple, but if any of your fine readers here are interested in bidding, please send me a message through eBay and we can work that out. It really is in excellent condition. Thanks again!

    1. Ah, so you've entered the un-collecting phase eh? Well, it's unavoidable I suppose, but I'm glad I posted about this!

Oh, and thanks for making things easier for everyone :)

  2. I'm not getting rid of everything, but I suppose I don't need 14 different ways to play a Genesis game. :)

I told myself 5 systems, and only truly classic games I'll actually play. We'll see how that goes.

    1. Well, it does make sense you know. Then again you will have to at least have 5 ways of playing a Genesis game. And don't forget the MegaDrive ones...

BTW, feel free to let me know whenever you've got something up for auction.

  3. I'm in an un-collecting phase too, still I must admit the CD-X is one of the few consoles I'd keep, if only I had one.

    1. So would I really, but probably would consider giving it away if I had a ton of Genesis alternatives...

    2. I know, I'd like to keep it. I have an X'Eye that I use for most of my Sega gaming, and this is just sitting on a shelf. I just have too much stuff and not enough time to enjoy it, I'm sick of seeing it literally collect dust. The money doesn't hurt either. I told myself 5 systems was plenty, so I'm keeping the X'Eye, a NES, Neo Geo AES (with 150 in 1 multicart), a TurboDuo, and a SNES. And I guess the Vectrex can stay, it kinda does it's own thing. Perhaps a box of handhelds, they don't take up much room. And a Dreamcast hidden behind a toilet..
