It might be unassuming and way less luxuriant than the impressive 5200, but the Atari 7800 was an excellent console. It was cheap, sported decent graphics and -importantly- was backwards compatible with the Atari 2600 and could thus play hundreds of classic games, and even a few interesting exclusives. The average 7800 usually sells for less than 40$, 32 euro or 28 pounds.
Grab an Atari 7800 Pro System & extras @ eBay. Seller ships worldwide and the winning bidder will also get a manual, all necessary cables, 2 controllers and a couple 2600 games.
