Pool of Radiance on the C64 is as classic an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons CRPG experience as one could reasonably hope for. Especially when one gets the full boxed version (with no less than 4 floppy disks) and a well preserved hint book. How? By bidding @ a certain ebay.com auction and by making sure a C64 is lying around. Having a US/Canada address might come in handy too.
Retro CRPG fans will also appreciate The History of Computer Role-Playing Games Part 1 and Part 2 articles (links via the Vintage Gamer).
