One Sinclair ZX81 and one Commodore VIC 20 in their respective (and respected) boxes can be yours, provided of course you try your luck with this vintage computing eBay auction and are a resident of the UK. Both micros are -according to the seller, that is- in excellent working condition and come with all necessary bits and even a host of extras, such the ZX81 RAM-pack, a Sinclair printer, and the Commodore 1530 datassette.

ReplyDeleteYou can't imagine the stash of stuff I sold last year... the missus pushed me to get rid of the stash, here's the list (get ready to cry) ZX Spectrum 48k/spectrum plus/spectrum 128/spectrum plus 2, BBC Model B with original monochrome monitor, amiga 500, Commodore 64 with data cassette, atari ST 520, around 400 spectrum games, all original boxed (*including all thr imagine play the game releases, and I do mean ALL of them) 5 kempston competition pro joysticks, a RAM pack for a speccy 16k, other data cassette recorders etc, everything worked 100%, I had most of it from new... sold on eBay for the grand sum of.... £100. I was GUTTED. Here's some pics: http://flic.kr/p/8tfz85 http://flic.kr/p/8tcymT http://flic.kr/p/8tfy5N http://flic.kr/p/8tcxXk I hope you can feel my pain! Lots of other pictures there just look at the photostream. Love the blog I always check it out whenever Mr.RSS tells me!
ReplyDeleteGutted was the least you could feel... I mean, that's just to much retro beauty left to fend off for itself in the wild, the WWF should have intervened. 't was a fantastic collection. Well, dear Waxer, at least you got the pictures and the memories. Oh, and maybe -just maybe- a bit of emulation might be helpful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the counselling Gnome! Yep, I still can't walk past old kit at bootsales without maybe just thinking I could get it home without the boss seeing!
ReplyDeleteI on the other hand can have -roughly- what I want provided, it's not in the living room. Or the bedroom. Well, it can be in a cupboard really...
