The Nintendo 64DD Drive

Released in 2000 as an expansion for the Nintendo 64 console, the Nintendo 64DD equipped the N64 with a re-writable medium able to store up to 256MB, a real-time clock and a standard font and audio library. It was an interesting idea, but it sold an estimated 15000 units, was only released in Japan, flopped badly, got discontinued in 2001 and is now considered rare.

To bid on one you can try this intriguing Nintendo 64DD eBay auction for a well preserved and fully working unit. Seller ships worldwide.
