Neo Geo CD

As CD drive prices dropped, and as CDs had always been vastly cheaper than cartridges, SNK attempted to make their Neo Geo powerhouse of a console (and its games) almost affordable, and thus the Neo Geo CD was born. With the exception of the tiresome loading times, it was and still is a great console, sporting some of the most impressive 2D games ever developed.

The 1993 game has aged very well indeed though, and remains funny, lovely to look at, and refreshingly challenging.
