Own a Nintendo Famicom Disk System
The Famicom Disk System by Nintendo, a gaming contraption that never made itself available to NES owning westerners, provided Famicom gamers with a cheap alternative to cartridges and brought disk-based gaming to the console masses. Quite a few 8-bit classics were originaly released on this format, that was, well, originaly released in 1986 as an add-on to the Famicom. Interested? Well, you might care for this boxed Famicom Disk System auction then. Seller ships worldwide. Famicom Disc Systems tend to go for roughly 100-120$.

Atari Jaguar CD & some CDs
Ever since Atari was kind enough to release the protection codes for the Jaguar, the homebrew scene for that vastly underrated 64-bit console exploded. Well, relatively. Anyway. What's more important is the fact that the Jaguar CD is where the majority of the homebrew scene focused and if you are into that kind of thing (or into retro collecting, that is) you can grab one from eBay. How? By following this Atari Jaguar CD & CDs auction link. Seller ships worldwide and includes the truly awful JagCD version of Blue Lightning, a copy of Vid Grid and a demo of Myst. An average price would be something around 80 euros, 70£ or 105$.

The Quest for the Rings (Odyssey 2)

What you see above, the complete Quest for the Rings for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 (a.k.a. the Philips Videopac G7000 in Europe), is one of the most impressively boxed video games ever released and a rare and luxuriant board game/video game hybrid. The Quest for the Rings was released in 1981 as part of the sadly short-lived Master Strategy series and you can enjoy a truly wonderful and quite related video here. Oh, and to try to grab a rather rare(-ish) and in apparently very good condition copy do follow the obvious The Quest for the Rings eBay link. Seller only ships within the US I'm afraid.

The Spectrum Games Bible
If you are anything like me, which I sincerely wish you not, you're probably aware of the twisted pleasure of discovering an unplayed retro game and experiencing the hidden gaming joys and gems of, well, the ZX Spectrum. Now, truth be said, you could just search eBay for Spectrum games and hope to be lucky or -and that's the way of the wise- go for the amazing collective work that is the Spectrum Games Bible. I did. It's a series of books, you see, chronologically presenting hundreds of games with some truly well-written reviews directly from the huge community of Speccy lovers. The third book, covering the golden Spectrum years of 1987 and 1988, has just been released and sports over 350 reviews. Happily you can easily grab it (the first two too -hoho) here for a very reasonable price.
