With its 1-line, 16-characters built-in screen that would work even when the computer was connected to an external monitor, compact design, 32kb of RAM, trusty Z80 processor and CP/M compatibility Grundy's NewBrain was a truly portable '80s micro. And a rather powerful one too, what with its high-res graphics and expansion options, but, interested parties, should find out more about it here, here and here.
Highly intrigued parties, on the other hand, could bid on this Grundy NewBrain auction while keeping in mind that this particular computer is pretty rare. The auction is for the NewBrain micro itself, the original power supply, the disk unit, the disk controller, the NewBrain manual and the Beginner's Guide tape. Oh, and the system doesn't seem to work, meaning only the brave and the tech-minded should apply.
