Despite horrendous loading times the Neo Geo CD was the first, almost affordable Neo Geo console and the only way to play those amazing arcade hits in the comfort of one's place. Happily, you can still grab a Neo Geo CD without having to sell off said place. Try this Neo Geo CD auction, for example, and see for yourselves. It's the boxed, Japanese version of the thing and the seller ships worldwide.
The NGCD, like many other unfortunate consoles (3D0, 32X, Sega CD, Jaguar...), makes me complain about how smart could have been to buy it when shops literally threw it out of the window...
ReplyDeleteYou are so very right. Same thing counts for the Amstrad GX4000. Argh!
DeleteMy boxed 32X had a number of clearance stickers on it marked all the way down to $2. Luckily I only paid $30 last year...
ReplyDeleteNot a bad deal, not a bad deal at all. AND you got the clearance stickers for free too!
