A boxed copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64 can be very expensive. Not that this surreal and unexpectedly naughty platformer isn't worth it, but, well, you could simply go for a Conker's Bad Fur Day cartridge, you know. Wont be ridiculously cheap either, mind, but at least you wont have to sell your N64... Seller ships worldwide.
Conker's Bad Fur Day must've had a REALLY low publishing run. I remember seeing previews of it in the N64 magazines of the day. Since it was a Rare-developed title, who were on something of a roll in quality games of the N64 at the time, it looked like it would be a pretty good game. Never saw a single copy for sale anywhere. Shame really, cos it's not like it's likely we'll see it as a Nintendo Virtual Console release anytime soon. Not unless Rare manage to extract themselves from Microsoft ownership, that is.
ReplyDeleteRare without Microsoft would be quite a thing... Then again, I would definitely have Ultimate Play The Game back, but that's just me.
DeleteOh, and apparently you must be right. Conker must have had an oddly low publishing run, though I frankly can't think of one reason why.
It didn't sell well because it came out just before N64's were done for. People started to move onto other systems.
ReplyDeleteA most plausible theory that :)
