The Atari 400, just like the Atari 800, appeared in 1979, but unlike its bigger and more powerful brother, it was actually designed as a child-friendly and child-resistant machine. It is thus one of the sturdiest 8-bit computers ever and you can bid on it via this Atari 400 auction. The computer seems to be in excellent condition and comes with its manual, a BASIC cartridge and the much needed power supply. Seller ships only within the US.
Looks pretty nice! I wish I had a proper knowledge of Atari computers, but I really can't tell the difference betweent models...
ReplyDeleteWell, happily, I can inform you that the 400 is the low-end model of the first bunch of Atari micros dear Mik!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Gnome :) It's an interesting computer, I hope to find one someday!
ReplyDeleteHere's to the Atari 400 then! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteNice; Also, Atari Greatest Hits Vol 2 for the DS has an Atari 400 virtual computer. It's cool, I'm just not sure on exactly what its Basic can do, etc.
ReplyDeleteAh, that's really intriguing! Quite loved vol 1!
