Mario Bros. is a nice little arcade conversion for the Atari 2600 and I absolutely love the fact that Amazon has copies ranging in price from 11$ to 350$. How very odd; or not. Have a look!

Vermin Game & Watch (boxed)
It's one of those relatively rare Game & Watch handhelds by Nintendo and you can get it via this eBay auction. Seller ships worldwide, and the game -Vermin- seems to be both boxed and in absolutely mint condition.
Snatcher: PC Engine Pilot Disk
Snatcher for the Sega (Mega) CD has been featured quite a few times on this very blog and so I thought I'd interest you in something, well, slightly more obscure: the Snatcher Pilot Disk for the PC-Engine Super CD-ROM. The CD will only run on Japanese/Asian consoles and is essentially a glorified demo version of Snatcher, that Konami released before the full game. The Pilot Disk contains a hefty playable demo, a video preview of Snatcher, a database of game characters and quite a few more quirky features.

It's a BitCorp Gamate!
If you are interested in a truly obscure and quite rare handheld console of the first Gameboy era, well, the Bitcorp Gamate is a must buy, despite the fact that it usually sells for more than 75$, 60 euros or 50 pounds. The Gamate you see went largely unnoticed, sported mostly dire games and only got one positive review ever, meaning it quite possibly is the rarest cheap handheld ever produced. You can find out more about it here and here.
To grab one, well, do try your luck at this BitCorp Gamate auction at eBay. Seller ships worldwide and seems to be offering a well-preserved and fully working console, complete with three games: Galaxy Invaders, Monster Pitfall and Money Maze. Nice.

Sega Genesis & Sega CD & Games
A lovely collection sporting a Sega Genesis, the Sega CD add-on and 8 decent games (4 for each system), including the amazing Sonic CD. Seller ships only within the US, and I'd suggest you didn't pay more than 100$-115$. Oh, yes, the link.

The ultimate vintage PC games collection
Okay, if this weren't a USA only auction I'd already be bidding on it, as those 149 games and peripherals are -to say the least- amazing. Among them you'll find such boxed rarities and gems as The Dig, Fallout 1 & 2, The Space Bar, Rama, the Myst board game, joysticks, an assortment of weird controllers, the Police Quest Collection and even a 386SX PC (to name a few). Amazing, eh? Bid away!

Final Fight for the Sega Mega CD
It's a beat-'em'up classic for your once innovative and still under-used Sega Mega CD. What else would you need to know? Perhaps the fact that this is a pre-owned copy and that this version of Final Fight comes with quite a few extras and a remastered soundtrack? Hmm, guess that should do. Grab it from Play-Asia.
Boxed Sega Mark III
"What is a boxed Sega Mark III ?", I pretend to hear you ask. Well, it's the Japanese version of the Sega Master System and it comes in a box. It also is a relatively rare Sega console (at least outside Japan, it is), quite a beauty to look at, grants access to some rather unique games and peripherals, and also happens to be the third 8-bit console Sega released in the Mark series. You can find out more about it here, here and here. To grab the one pictured above you should try this eBay auction. Seller ships worldwide.

One Oric-1 in a box
This machine still looks lovely, despite its horrible keyboard and the fact that getting games to load on it can apparently be quite troublesome. Anyway. Good news is you can find an almost unused (allegedly) specimen via eBay. Said Oric-1 comes in its original box, with its original accessories and its shockingly original manual. Seller ships only within the UK. Oh, and this older Oric-1 post of Retro Treasures might be enlightening.

SAS-C Development System (Amiga)
For the talented and creative people that want to program for the Commodore Amiga the way mother nature always wanted, here is the rather impressive 6th version of the SAS-C Development System for the Amiga. It's a powerful C++ compiler, that comes complete with all its manuals, disks and stuff. You can even read an old review of the thing here.

Pepsi Invaders (Atari 2600)
Another legendary game has appeared on eBay: Pepsi Invaders for the Atari 2600. It's a Space Invaders variant commissioned by Coca Cola, where the rather traditional aliens have been substituted by the letters P, E, P, S and I, and players, using their infinite lives have to kill them all in less than 3 minutes. So far, so unspectacular. Still, only 125 copies of the game have been known to exist as it was only released -without a proper box- in a 1983 convention and given only to the 125 sales executives attending it. You can find out more about it and download a working ROM here and you can bid on it here. Seller ships only within the United States.

Playful Intelligence Commodore 64
A Commodore 64 still boxed in its original Playful Intelligence box might not be incredibly rare, but it still is a beautiful sight for any retro gaming lover. After all it comes with a cartridge sporting 4 games, one Commodore joystick and -most important of all- a Commodore GS Software Manual (well, ok and a proper C64 one too). Oh, and you can grab one complete in its box via eBay. Seller only ships within Europe.

The Laffer Utilities
I remember buying this one ages ago and simply knowing it was the most obscure Leisure Suit Larry offering I'd ever own. Not incredibly rare mind, just obscure, as The Laffer Utilities (version 4.01, no less) was published by Sierra and was nothing more than a lovely collection of DOS-based anti-productivity utilities packed in a brilliant little box. Interestingly, Amazon got a copy. Grab it!

Atari 2700 RC Stella Prototype Console
This one will be expensive, but so very unique you simply have to have a look. It is after all an auction for the truly Atari 2700 RC Stella prototype, the forgotten and very Atari 2600 variant with the wireless joysticks and the radical redesign. Oh, and seller does indeed ship worldwide.

Amiga 1200 with hard disk
The ultimate gaming machine has to be an Amiga 1200 with a 2.8GB hard disk, and this is exactly what you can grab via this (UK only) auction. As for me, well, I don't really think I have to elaborate on the matter.

Akira (Nintendo Famicom)
Haven't played it, but Akira for the Famicom is both an adventure game and based on the excellent Akira film. You can grab it via Play Asia, where -happily- it's on sale!

The Vectrex Arcade System
Ah, dear Vectrex, beautiful as ever I see and still sporting your amazing monochrome vector graphics. Gamers looking to grab you complete with an excellent selection of games and goodies can try this auction, you know. Seller ships only within the USA, and has been kind enough to bundle 15 games, two controllers and a variety of other lovely bits the console. As for you dear readers, don't expect to pay much less than 400$ though. The Vectrex is quite a rarity, but one definitely worth the money you'll pay for it.

Sega Master Gear Converter
We all know that Sega's Game Gear is in fact an updated and obviously handheld Master System, but that isn't really helpful. We still need Sega's Master Gear Converter to play SMS games on the thing and you can grab one of these lovely little accessories, complete in its original box, via this eBay auction. Seller ships worldwide.

Metal Slug 5 (Neo Geo AES)
Neo Geo AES games can get very expensive and Metal Slug 5 even more so. It remains of course a great game, a classic perhaps, and one you can own for quite a few hundred dollars, euros or pounds. For a complete boxed copy you could try this auction. Seller ships worldwide.

Radiant Silvergun (Saturn)
Possibly the most famous shooter for the SEGA Saturn. Grab a copy of Radiant Silvergun for the Japanese Saturn via eBay. Seller ships worldwide.
