Atari 2600 Light Sixer and 30 Classic Games
Originally released in October 1977, the 2600 was manufactured in Sunnyvale, California. The consoles manufactured here had thick internal RF shielding & thick plastic molding around the sides & bottom. These added weight to the console, and being that all 6 switches were on the front, these consoles were nicknamed "Heavy Sixers". After this first year, production moved to Hong Kong, and the consoles manufactured there had thinner RF shielding & plastic molding da da.. the the birth of the "Light Sixer".
Having hidden in a subterranean cave for several years a classic example of the light sixers has survived, and is presenting itself in this most excellent ebay lot.

Factory sealed Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (SNES)
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, released to mixed reaction back in 1995 for the SNES, is a flawed compilation of the first three NES Ninja Gaiden games complete with updated in-game and cut-scene graphics, unlimited continues, updated soundtrack and slight gameplay tweaks. Ninja Gaiden Trilogy is also the only SNES Ninja Gaiden game and -despite its many shortcomings (for example...)- it commands some particularly impressive eBay prices. Usually over 300$, that is.
Now, as this eBay Ninja Gaiden Trilogy SNES (US version) auction for a factory sealed mint copy of the game is still under 40$ (19£), it might well be considered a bargain. Happily seller ships worldwide.

Simon the Sorcerer for the Amiga
Before Simon 3D there was Simon the Sorcerer II and before that, back in the days of Amiga's dominance, there was the excellent adventure game we mortals usually refer to as Simon the Sorcerer (here's the game's official webpage and here's the excellent Quandary review). The game was and arguably still is a classic point-and-click adventure with some excellent humor and lovely 2D graphics.
To grab a complete boxed version of Simon's first adventure follow the link to the Simon the Sorcerer (Amiga) eBay auction. Seller ships worldwide and it'll definitely be worth the shipping.

Sega Dreamcast Ikaruga
As far as shmups (shut-'em-ups in Old English) go, Ikaruga by Treasure must be one of the best and most influential games ever released. As for its relatively rare Sega Dreamcast edition, well, besides offering the standard amazing visuals and polarity gameplay, it also commands some impressive ebay prices. Well, at least it usually does. Better have a look at this Ikaruga Dreamcast (jpn) auction. The current bid is only 5.5£ and the seller ships worldwide.

A portable C64? Yes, a Commodore SX-64!
Gotta love ebay. Really. You see, another one of them fabled computer/video-gaming rarities has turned up and it's no other than the utterly amazing Commodore SX-64 (a.k.a. Executive 64), the portable sibling of the famous Commodore 64, complete with 5,25" disk-drive and built-in crisp color monitor.
Oh, and you might be interested in finding out that the SX-64 was the world's first color portable computer and also the only one you could ever use to play with Little Computer People too. Then again, it lacks a cassette port and can only run disk or cartridge games, but, really, who would notice.
To find out more about said 23-pound miniaturization wonder have a look at Wikipedia, OldComputers.net, Vintage Computers and/or of course the aptly named SX64.net.
For a rare chance to actually own a Commodore SX-64 try this Commodore SX-64 ebay auction. Seller ships worldwide.

Amstrad CPC 6128 with colour monitor & goodies
Said goodies include an extra disk drive, 30 of those classic 3'' CPC disks, a joystick, manuals and some pretty interesting books. For a chance to own said Amstrad CPC 6128 with colour monitor, extra disk drive & stuff, do try your luck over at this ebay.co.uk CPC 6128 auction. Seller ships to UK only. Mind you, a 6128s with a colour monitor are not that easy to find these days and they usually sell for £25+.

The amazing Sinclair C5
The Sinclair C5, a true oddity released back in 1985, was supposed to be the electric vehicle that would change the way people commuted, help save the environment and bring Sir Clive untold riches. Unfortunately, all it did was spectacularly flop (mainly due to the rather rainy British weather) and drag down its whole ZX Spectrum producing company with it.
The C5 has a top speed of roughly 25km/h, a place inside the Manchester Science Museum, a worldwide fan club and the obligatory Wikipedia entry. Even more info can be found at the hallowed Planet Sinclair site.
To grab your very own fully working and in seemingly top condition Sinclair C5 (a truly rare chance apparently) better bid on this Sinclair C5 ebay auction. Seller ships worldwide but guess the UK would be more convenient.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Amiga)
Published by Infocom, designed by the late and great Douglas Adams himself, sporting some of the funniest prose on the planet and featuring the still unsurpassed ultra-complicated Babel Fish puzzle, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is both a text-adventure classic and one of the best games ever. What's more, being all (sophisticated) text THGTTG has aged remarkably well too.
To play a freeware illustrated version of the game simply follow this link to the BBC (more Douglas Adams links/games here), but to fully and truly enjoy THGTTG the way it was meant to, I'm afraid you'll have to grab the complete and pretty rare original Infocom box. Happily it just showed up on ebay:

Atari 7800 Prosystem and 32 games
1983 and a struggling Video Game market saw Atari interview thousands of gamers on what they wanted and didnt' want in a gaming system. Uniquely Atari listened and produced a system with arcade-quality graphics, simple to use with sleek, responsive controllers, out of the box reverse-compatability with the Atari 2600 and its existing components, and all to be packaged in a sleek compact design. . . . . .Dadaaaaa the Atari 7800 Prosystem. The console was announced on May 21st, 1984, and carried a price tag of $140.
23 years later and Dadaaaaaa again, theres one on ebay, Seller in US ships Worldwide.

Panasonic MSX Turbo R
The last of the MSX line, the MSX Turbo R, was only supported by Panasonic, turned out to be a wildly unpopular machine and one exclusive to Japan, thus becoming a very hard to find computer, that usually sells for more than 80$ (60 euros, 40£). Shame really, as it sported quite a few decent games as well as backwards MSX compatibility.
The MSX Turbo-R is a powerful 16-bit computer with excellent graphics & audio, that can easily stand up to the Amiga 500 or the Nintendo SNES and features some impressive expansion options. Find out more on the hardware side of things by clicking here and here.
For a (slightly overpriced) chance to grab one of these rarities -in excellent boxed condition, no less- better try this MSX Turbo R auction. Seller ships worldwide.

The Zelda Game & Watch
Nintendo's Zelda Game & Watch is a surprisingly enjoyable and pretty difficult to track down little handheld game released in 1989. One of the most complex Game & Watch releases ever, beating Zelda might require a walkthrough, while the game also features a pretty interesting ending sequence. For a chance to play said handheld try a lovely Zelda Game & Watch ebay auction. Seller in UK but sells worldwide.
