One big box of Atari XE GS gaming

The Atari XE Video Game System (a.k.a. Atari XEGS) is a console/home-computer hybrid that was compatible with Atari's 8-bit micro range and a direct, consolized descendant of the Atari 65XE. It was also a pretty versatile system that could be sold as either a stand-alone console or, in its deluxe version, as a complete, gaming-focused computer. It is said, keyboard empowered deluxe version you can grab via this Atari XEGS eBay auction.

What's more, the system comes in its original, complete box; a box from which it has allegedly never been removed. Yes, it's an essentially new Atari XEGS, complete with two games, all the manuals, main console, keyboard, joystick and light-gun. All that's missing is the Missile Command cartridge.

Seller ships to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Denmark, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Estonia, Australia, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia, Japan, China, Sweden, S. Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Africa, Thailand, Belgium, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland and Norway.

Space Quest V: The Next Mutation (MS-DOS)

Released in 1993, Space Quest V by Sierra was the last great adventure game starring Roger Wilco and, nowadays, a gracefully aged and good looking point-and-clicker. Apparently, its lovely box makes it a cool collector's item too, meaning that you'll most probably be interested in this Space Quest 5 eBay auction. It's the complete boxed, MS-DOS, floppy disc version of the game and the seller is shipping worldwide.

Boxed NEC PC-FX

NEC's PC-FX is a 32-bit, CD-based console that was released exclusively in Japan back in 1994. Despite being a 2D powerhouse, it was quite expensive and lacked out-of-the-box 3D acceleration; it thusly never really sold that well. The machine only got 62 games released for it and, to this day, remains the only console to look like a (beautiful) PC. Oh, and you can always grab this brilliantly preserved, complete and boxed NEC PC-FX via eBay. Seller ships worldwide.

Wonderland by Magnetic Scrolls (Amiga)

Wonderland was released by Magnetic Scrolls back in 1990 and was a brave attempt to re-imagine and save commercial interactive fiction. Not only was it a sprawling adventure sporting excellent graphics and more than a few animations that came in a big box filled with goodies, but it also featured an innovative, windows-based, point-and-clickable interface which minimized typing and made the gameplay just flow.

UK residents that have missed or misplaced said classic text adventure can still grab a complete boxed version of Wonderland for the Amiga via eBay. It comes with the manual, map, posters and all the discs you'd expect it to.

The console is in working order, comes with two controllers and all the required bits and pieces, and 10 CDs covering everything from games to impressionism. Seller ships worldwide.

One shiny, black Commodore CDTV

The Commodore CDTV is one of history's sleekest failed pieces of hardware. Essentially a keyboardless Amiga 500 with a CD-ROM drive in a black set-top box that was ridiculously priced and a bit under-powered for 1991. As for its software and games, well, what it mainly got were enhanced versions of existing games and those multimedia/edutainment things everyone was producing back in the early '90s. Oh, and it came with a truly intriguing controller.

Interestingly, though not extremely expensive, the CDTV doesn't appear very often on eBay and you'll be happy to know there's a Commodore CDTV auction waiting for your bids right now. You'll get the console, the remote/controller, the CD tray and the required cables.

Seller is shipping to United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Denmark, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Estonia, Australia, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia, Japan, Sweden, Korea, South, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Africa, Thailand, Belgium, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland and Norway.

The 1993 Space Hulk for MS-DOS

Not that faithful videogame adaptations of classic board games are something to be scoffed at, but the 1993 digital re-imagining of Games Workshop's Space Hulk was a truly inspired masterpiece. It was a (mostly) first-person, semi-real-time tactical affair that played as uniquely as it sounded and oozed both tension and atmosphere. It also came in a big box that you can own via this Space Hulk (MS-DOS) eBay auction. The game is being sold with all four discs and both manuals.

Seller ships only within the US.

Nintendo Family Computer 3D System

Released exclusively in Japan, the 3D System for the Nintendo Famicom consisted of a pair of shutter glasses (and a few cables and things) that allowed gamers to enjoy compatible games with the illusion of 3D depth -- not unlike the much better known 3D glasses for the Sega Master System. The accessory is only compatible with 7 games and not particularly common outside Japan. You can own it complete in its box via this Family Computer 3D System auction. Seller ships worldwide.

The Casio PV-1000 Console

Casio's obscure first video game console, the Casio PV-1000, was released in Japan in 1983 and, as you may have noticed, failed to make an impression. Built around the Z80A processor and sporting a tiny 2KB of RAM, it was underpowered when compared to the NES and only managed to have 15 games published for it. Obviously, it is nowadays a highly sought after rarity.

You can buy yourselves one via this sensibly priced Casio PV-1000 eBay listing. The console comes complete with the Casio-TJ 1 joystick, the power adapter, RF cables and a complete, boxed copy of the Pachinko UFO game.
