If it hadn't been for WiiFanboy I'd probably wait for a few more days till I wished you all the best for 2008 and wrote another post, but truth is this bit just can't be missed, for this bit is as rare a rarity as they get. It is, you see, the prototype controller of the never released SNES CD that Nintendo and Sony almost released and that finally evolved into the PlayStation. Most probably never knew such a thing existed, and to be honest I was pretty certain the SNES CD and early Play Station use a SNES controller...

SNES Street Fighter II Turbo Edition

Street Fighter II Turbo is one of the best 2D fighters ever and the SNES a lovely console to enjoy it, so... uhh... that's why I thought you'd care for this almost rare boxed SFII edition SNES eBay auction. The console, box and game are all in mint condition and the seller ships only to the UK. Oh, and your average un-boxed SNES usually goes for 20-25£.

Shiny Silver limited edition SEGA Dreamcast

Amstrad CPC 6128 with printer, software & games

An Amstrad CPC 6128 that can be shipped anywhere in the world is pretty rare, but one that's also bundled with a DMP-2000 printer and a decent selection of software is one of the rarest eBay home computing offers conceivable. Grim Fandango Classic

You can find tons of Grim Fandangos over at eBay, but truth is most of them wont be the original proper box release. Happily, that's not the case with this lovely Lucasarts related auction. It's Grim Fandango, one of the best games ever conceived and a magnificent experience regardless of medium, available they way Tim Schafer wanted it packaged. UK only.

Usually 20£ (40$, 28 eu) are more than enough to get you Nintendo's 16-bit SNES, I know. Then again, if you are into specialist stuff price means nothing, and that means you'd better have a look at this SNES, Scope, Games lot @ eBay. The GAMATE Compact Video Game System

I have actually touched a Bit Corporation GAMATE (though admittedly ages ago), I have already blogged quite extensively on this rather failed Nintendo Game Boy rival, but I had never before seen the thing on eBay. Really. Never. Apparently then it's a rarity and you can try getting your hands on said quirky console via a certain boxed GAMATE eBay auction. Seller ships worldwide.

The console comes in its original box complete with a game (Galaxy Invaders) and instructions. Oh, and just so you know, this is a monochrome handheld that has absolutely nothing to do with the GBA, but allegedly does feature a handful of interesting games.
