And, yes, the Atari ST is also a beauty; actually I've only not grabbed one due to not finding the boxed one I've been looking for just yet.gnomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03497613771780431048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881574431924666276.post-1528948892784084512011-07-12T20:43:23.935+00:002011-07-12T20:43:23.935+00:00Love early Mac designs. Like the Amiga 1000 we were talking about last week, and indeed the Atari ST. I've yet to see a PC from the same period that still looks as cool.

It's always amused me though, that in 1997/98 when Apple introduced the iMac, it was touted by the PC magazines of the time as being 'revolutionary in it's design'. Er, no guys. The very first Mac was an all-in one. All that happened in the intervening years was faster speeds and transparent cases!Bobnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5881574431924666276.post-31818351649992075682011-07-12T15:35:23.326+00:002011-07-12T15:35:23.326+00:00Indeed! I'm so delighted that now, in the fullness of time, it has come to be appreciated as not only a cool looking collectible, but also an important historical artifact of our on-line society.

With the acceleration of...well everything...brought about by this digital age, it stands to reason that things only 25 years old should bear a significance which in the past may have been attained only through a great span of years.

Plus this one comes with a lot of cool stuff :-)Charliehttp://www.parrygamepreserve.comnoreply@blogger.com
